story shaped for people doing meaningful work

Most people who come to me know what they're doing. They know what matters about it. What they don't always have is language that reflects that — clearly, honestly, in a voice that actually sounds like them.

Storycrafting is the practice of finding that language. Not inventing it — it's already there, underneath the surface. My job is to listen for it, draw it out, and shape it into something you can use.

This work doesn't come from a marketing background. It comes from the same place as everything else at Ravensong, a deep belief that story is how humans make meaning, and that language handled carelessly does real harm.

I've spent years sitting with grief, myth, memory, and the hard work of putting difficult things into words. That's what I bring to client work: not a formula, but a practice. The same listening. The same care for what's true.

My work lives in the editorial and narrative space — voice development, website and program language, newsletters, essays, long-form writing. If you need high-volume campaigns, conversion funnels, or paid ad copy, I'm probably not your person. If you need language that actually sounds like you and can be sustained over time, I might be exactly that.

"I know what I want to say. I just don't know how to say it."
THIS IS WHERE MOST PEOPLE START

Who this Is for

Storycrafting is especially well-suited for people and organizations whose work carries depth, but who struggle to express it clearly or consistently.

Creatives, educators, and writers whose work is layered or difficult to translate into conventional language

Spiritual practitioners who want language without reduction or hype

Mission-driven organizations navigating complexity, transition, or a message that no longer fits

Founders and project leads who want language they can stand behind — and sustain

How I work

Every collaboration begins with listening — for cadence, tone, and what's being said beneath the surface. I value clarity over hype, coherence over persuasion.

  • I don't impose frameworks or formulas — I help you recognize what's already there

  • The work is collaborative and transparent, with clear checkpoints and no surprise pivots

  • What I deliver isn't just finished copy — it's language you can live with and use across contexts

  • I often work alongside designers, developers, and marketers once voice and language are clear
